Created in the winter of 2025, this calendar was created using a Vandercook Universal 1 letterpress. Each month features a unique color scheme printed with hand-mixed ink and typeset using the metal type Spartan in varying point sizes and weights.
Measuring approximately 6" x 9", each calendar comes with a stand that was laser-cut from double-weight chipboard. The images for each month were created digitally using right triangles and squares on a 4x4 grid, inspired by quilt blocks. They were then cut from cardstock and mounted on a sheet to create a raised surface for printing.
The Calendar was selected by juror KaDavien Baylor for Louisiana Tech University's School of Design 2026 Student Show. It won Best in Show for Graphic Design. Furthermore, this calendar was selected by the faculty to represent Louisiana Tech at the Universities of Louisiana Summit at Southeastern Louisiana University.
