Created in the winter of 2025, this calendar was created using a Vandercook Universal 1 letterpress. Each month features a unique color scheme printed with hand-mixed ink and typeset using the metal type Spartan in varying point sizes and weights.
Measuring approximately 6" x 9", each calendar comes with a stand that was laser-cut from double-weight chipboard. The images for each month were created digitally using right triangles and squares on a 4x4 grid, inspired by the patterns found in quilts. They were then cut from cardstock and mounted on a sheet to create a raised surface for printing.
The calendar was selected by juror KaDavien Baylor for Louisiana Tech University's School of Design 2026 Student Show, where it won Best in Show in Graphic Design. Furthermore, the faculty selected this calendar to represent Louisiana Tech at the 2026 Universities of Louisiana Summit at Southeastern Louisiana University.
